Step by step
- 1
Step 1
Remove the spoiler
Take the complete spoiler unit off the car. The video below shows exactly how.
- 2
Step 2
Inspect both sides
Check the plastic spring housing on the left and right. Nothing broken yet and fitting preventively? Skip to step 4. If a side is broken, continue with step 3.

- 3
Step 3
Fit the spring block
The supplied spring block holds the spring in place during fitting. Place it on the broken side (left or right), in the spot framed in red in the photo.
⚠️ Important: Did you release the spring for this? Re-tension it before reassembly – see "Re-tension the helper spring" below.

- 4
Step 4
Position the bracket loosely
Place the stainless steel bracket on the correct side. Do not fix it yet: it now serves as a drilling guide.
- 5
Step 5
Drill the hole
Use the hole in the bracket as a guide and drill with the supplied 3 mm bit.
💡 Tip: Drill straight and at low speed for a clean hole.
- 6
Step 6
Insert rivet and washer
Push the pop rivet through the bracket and the drilled hole. Slide the washer on at the back – needle-nose pliers make this easy.
- 7
Step 7
Secure the bracket
Fit the plastic spacer and set the rivet with the pop rivet gun.

This is how the stainless steel bracket sits once fitted.
- 8
Step 8
Repeat on the other side
Repeat steps 2 to 7 on the other side so both sides are repaired.
- 9
Step 9
Reassemble and test
Refit the spoiler and check that it extends and retracts smoothly.
Re-tension the helper spring
Only needed if you fitted a spring block in step 3 and the spring was released for it.
- 1If fitted, remove the latch solenoid: 2 × 10 mm bolts.
- 2Tension the spring with a spring hook or similar tool and seat it in the correct holder.
✅ Check that all fasteners are tight before you refit the spoiler.
